capsicum

capsicum is a Fediverse client application compatible with Mastodon/Misskey.

capsicum is a Japanese-only app.
There is no English localization, and an English version is not planned. The interface, in-app text, documentation, and support are all provided in Japanese only. Please take this into consideration before downloading.

capsicum proposes not just an app-only experience, but a sense of unity with the server. On the developer's own server, unique features such as anime commentary support are available through integration with server-side extensions. This sense of unity is the raison d'être of capsicum.

Anyone can use it, but development priorities are primarily focused on the convenience of members of the developer's server. Support for users on external servers and support for versions/forks not used on the developer's server are not guaranteed.

◆ Mulukhiya Integration (mulukhiya-toot-proxy)

By integrating with the server-side extension "Mulukhiya" running on the developer's server, the following functions are automatically enabled.

- Episode Browser — Select an episode from currently airing anime and post your commentary.
- Tag Set — Insert hashtags such as the title and broadcast slot with a single tap.
- Commentary Support — A posting flow specifically designed for anime commentary.
- Annict Integration — Directly record your post-viewing impressions and ratings in Annict (completion of commentary and impressions without switching browsers).
- Default Hashtags — On preset servers, hashtags provided by the server are automatically added to posts.

◆ Push Notifications

You can receive push notifications on both Mastodon and Misskey. Even in the background or when the app is closed, the notification type and content are displayed individually.

Due to upstream specifications, Misskey normally cannot register notifications from third-party apps. However, servers with Molokhiya installed (such as Daisuki) included in the presets can receive push notifications via a dedicated route.

Users of preset servers can use it free of charge via the developer's relay server. For users of other servers, we plan to offer it as a paid service in the future to cover infrastructure maintenance costs.

- Now Playing Sharing — Simply select capsicum from the "Share" option in playback apps like Apple Music and Spotify to create posts with the hashtag #nowplaying.
- Annict Integration — Complete everything from live commentary on the anime you're watching to recording your post-viewing impressions within capsicum.
- In-Show Word Suggestion — Complete the pronunciation of specialized words (such as special move names and character names) that don't appear in IME conversion candidates, based on their hiragana reading. Supports instant input for anime commentary
- Switching between multiple servers and accounts
- Display and create quoted posts (Mastodon / Misskey)
- Misskey reactions, clips, drives, channels, pages, messages, Misskey Play
- Create and vote on polls
- Schedule posts, translate posts, and select languages
- Emoji picker, custom emojis, and MFM drawing
