Crosswords is a French word game designed for a daily habit: a brand new puzzle every day, to solve in minutes, wherever you are.

■ ONE PUZZLE PER DAY
Every morning, a new puzzle awaits you. It's published at midnight and remains available all day. Missed it yesterday? All previous puzzles are still playable in the archives.

■ KEEP UP YOUR STRIKE
Play every day and grow your streak. A missed day doesn't erase everything: you earn streak freezes that cover the missed days. It's the little ritual that keeps you coming back.

■ PROGRESS AT YOUR OWN PACE
Gain experience with each word found and climb 20 ranks, from Beginner to Crossword Legend. Each rank is further divided into grades, so there's always a step within reach. You can also unlock 15 badges: first puzzle, perfect score, early bird, night owl, 30-day streak…

■ STUCK? NEVER TRAPPED
Two hints are given each day, plus a reserve for difficult puzzles. And if a clue seems truly unfair, the "I'm stuck" button will unblock you for free, once per puzzle. You can also report the clue to us with a single tap: that's how we improve the game.

■ DESIGNED FOR ENJOYMENT
• QWERTY keyboard adapted to the grid, with no autocorrect
• The grid stays on the screen, without zooming or scrolling
• Dark mode, gentle on the eyes in the evening
• Discreet timer, pauses when you close the app
• Your game is saved letter by letter: pick up right where you left off
• Optional daily reminder, every morning

■ TRULY OFFLINE
Grids are embedded in the app. On the subway, on a plane, in the countryside: they keep track of your progress with absolutely nothing—they stay on your phone.

■ AD-FREE AND ACCOUNT-FREE
No registration, no password, no email address to provide. No ads. None of your progress stays on your device; we never receive it. If Android Save is enabled on your phone, Google may keep it for you—this is a system mechanism, not an app mechanism.
