Bookend PDF Viewer is a versatile Chrome extension designed to display PDF files efficiently. It integrates seamlessly with the bookend app and other file manager apps to open PDFs reliably. Key features include viewing PDFs, searching within documents, accessing the PDF table of contents, and following embedded links. The viewer supports playback of embedded mp4 videos directly within PDFs and provides multiple viewing modes including single page and spread (cover) settings. Users can easily switch between right and left binding to suit reading preferences. Additionally, the extension supports thumbnail previews and includes annotation capabilities for marking up documents. Please note that due to Android 11+ security changes, PDF files cannot be opened directly within this app but must be launched from another file manager app.
