This is a bug report for the current version as of March 26 2026. 1. During the buy phase when I select a letter in the market to preview, then go back and try to look at my draw or discard pile it is disabled. Before I preview a market letter I am able to view my piles freely. This is a frustrating bug. 2. As of 2-3 versions ago, there is a gamebreaking bug with the Trash Other cards. Trash other gain +xC/worth more: trashing doesn't actually trash, and you don't get more +xC for it either.

User Reviews
Players generally enjoy Paperback Vol. 2’s word-based deck-building gameplay and consider it a good tabletop adaptation, with appealing solo and multiplayer options. However, recurring bugs—including freezes, crashes, and incorrect scoring or card effects—can disrupt or end games. Online play also has usability and reliability problems. Several players dislike the redesigned visuals and report that card text is harder to read.
Pros
- Enjoyable, engaging, and often described as addictive, especially for fans of word games.
- A strong adaptation of the tabletop game, with its deck-building gameplay well represented.
- Offers varied ways to play, including solo games against AI and multiplayer.
Cons
- Frequent bugs, freezes, and crashes can interrupt games or make them impossible to finish.
- Scoring and special-card effects do not always work correctly.
- Online multiplayer has shortcomings, including games freezing or disappearing and limited turn-by-turn play features.
- Recent font and graphic changes are widely criticized for looking worse and making some text difficult to read.
Recent reviews
I have encountered several bugs, such as the AI buying out the entire stack of wild (when it only earned +7) or carrying over a draw 5 infinitely. It definitely makes it trickier (or impossible) to win at times. I never had these issues with the first iteration of this app.
