User Reviews

Users appreciate the app's creative concept and potential for building machines, especially for simple builds. However, many criticize camera controls for being glitchy and disorienting, limited building connections leading to fragile structures, and lack of essential features like undo and better deletion. Intrusive ads and mechanical part issues further hinder gameplay. Overall, the app shows promise but requires significant improvements to controls, mechanics, and usability.
Pros
  • Innovative and interesting concept for building machines and contraptions.
  • Good for small and simple builds.
  • Has potential to become a great game with improvements.
  • Provides creative freedom for building and testing constructions.
Cons
  • Camera controls and angles are problematic, often described as glitchy, difficult to navigate, and disorienting.
  • Building mechanics are limited: components can only connect to one other, causing structural instability and frustration.
  • Lack of essential features such as undo button, easy deletion controls, and better component management.
  • Ads are intrusive, playing every time the player tests their build, negatively impacting user experience.
  • Servos and powered wheels have issues, like not synchronizing or moving too slowly, and there is limited control over mechanical parts.

Great idea. Works well for the small, simple builds. But buildind more complex machines is limited. Yes in real world struts do have flex and yes servos don't work at the same time/speed. But in the real world we connect peaces at multiple points to fix these problems. Can't wait to see how improved Machine Builder 2 will be.

DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME!! It's a great concept and has massive potential HOWEVER the fact you can only join one component to one other makes building corners of frame's/structure's near impossible and gives no rigidity to machines. Also if you hide the list of components to calibrate you can't get them back to do anything with them. Hugely disappointing
