DefendGuard helps you avoid scams and dangerous websites on your Android phone. Copy or share a suspicious message and we'll tell you if it looks like a scam, block phishing and malware sites across your phone, and, if you want, encrypt your connection with our VPN.

AI SCAM DETECTOR
Paste a suspicious SMS, email, or WhatsApp message, or share it from another app using the Share button. DefendGuard analyzes the text and links using its own rules, and when the result is unclear, an artificial intelligence model (Claude, from Anthropic) reviews the message. In a few seconds you'll see the verdict, the signs we found, and what to do. Works in Portuguese and Spanish.

DefenderGuard doesn't read your SMS messages, emails, or conversations: it only analyzes what you choose to copy or share. The verdict is helpful, not a guarantee.

WEB PROTECTION
Blocks phishing, malware, and scam domains in mobile apps and browsers.
How it works: the app uses Android's VpnService to create a local VPN that only sends DNS queries (the names of the websites you open) to our encrypted DNS filter (DNS over HTTPS) on a server in Madrid. The rest of your traffic doesn't pass through us. The filter uses public threat lists (HaGeZi and URLhaus), and you can see the blocked websites in the app.

Before you activate it, the app explains what data is processed, and Android asks for your permission. The technical log of the queries is deleted after one hour. The blocked websites are saved in your account for you to view. If you use another VPN or Android's private DNS, the filter may not be applied.

VPN DEFENDGUARD (PREMIUM)
Encrypts all mobile traffic with WireGuard to our own server in Madrid, useful on public Wi-Fi networks. It also uses the Android VpnService service and, just like with web protection, the app explains to you first what data is processed. Inside the tunnel, the same filter for dangerous websites remains active.
We do not store your browsing history or your real IP address. We store your phone's public key, the tunnel's internal address, the time of the last connection, and the total data, for the VPN to work and to show you the summary.

DATA BREACH ALERTS
We monitor your account email and up to two more emails in known data breaches, with data from Have I Been Pwned, and notify you if they appear in a new breach. Only emails, not phone numbers.

MOBILE PHONE VERIFICATION
It checks if your Android version still receives security updates, if you have screen lock, and if web protection is active, and tells you what to improve.

YOUR ACCOUNT AND YOUR DATA
Log in with your email (or mobile phone number, if your account was created with it) and a password.
In the app you can download a copy of your data and delete the account (More > My account). You can also request deletion at https://defendguard.net/app/delete.php?src=app
No ads. We do not sell your data.

TRIAL AND PREMIUM PERIOD
When you create an account you have a free 7-day trial period with all features. After that, mobile phone verification remains available and the remaining features require an active Premium account.

WHAT DEFENDGUARD DOES NOT DO
It does not analyze installed apps or mobile phone files. It does not read your SMS, calls or emails.
