KAPPA aims to help you manage your refrigerators. After registering with the provider free of charge, you can create as many refrigerators as you like. These can each contain an infinite number of compartments. Food is assigned to each compartment. In addition to their names and a comment on the number, a best-before date and the storage date can also be saved if desired.
You can view this information for all foods in a compartment at any time. If you are looking for a specific food item in your fridge but do not know which compartment it is in, use the integrated search function. You only have to enter part of the name and the app will then list all the foods that contain it.
After activating the expiry date monitoring, a background service automatically checks the expiry date of all food and warns you with a notification if a food expires in less than seven days.
Two different app widgets are also available for the home screen. One shows all running groceries (when the background service is running), the second widget shows you the groceries in the selected compartment at all times.
(Important note: Using the widgets or the durability monitor can significantly increase app data usage as they need to update themselves regularly.)
For your next purchase, you can add groceries to the integrated shopping list and delete them again after the purchase.

KAPPA is currently in the BETA stage. The app has been successfully tested on Android 4.0, 4.4, 5.1 and 7.1.2, but may still have (unknown) bugs on these or other platforms. Please inform the developer if you encounter any errors. Please also note the information in the data protection declaration.
