FRAMS

FRAMS (Forest Resource Analysis & Monitoring System) Mobile App is a dedicated digital platform developed to support officials of the Manipur Forest Department in effective forest monitoring, management, and decision-making. The application serves as an operational interface that delivers timely, location-specific information on the status of forest divisions across the state.

The app enables forest officials to receive real-time alerts and notifications related to critical forest events, particularly deforestation activities and forest fires. These alerts are generated through advanced geospatial analysis and remote sensing–based monitoring workflows, allowing early detection of anomalous changes in forest cover and fire incidents. By providing rapid and reliable alerts directly to field and divisional officers, FRAMS supports prompt ground verification and response, thereby strengthening forest protection efforts.

FRAMS also provides division-wise and location-based status updates, helping officials track forest conditions, reported incidents, and monitoring outcomes in a structured and accessible manner. The mobile-first design ensures that information reaches users even in field conditions, improving situational awareness and coordination among forest staff at different administrative levels.
