User Reviews

Users value Nano Defender for Firefox as an effective complement to uBlock Origin, appreciating its safety and adblock detection circumvention. However, many report that the extension has not been updated for months, causing filter lists and extra setup steps to fail. The Adblock Warning Removal List subscription is commonly reported as broken, reducing effectiveness on some sites. Additionally, there is confusion about the addon’s security stemming from issues with the Chromium version, though the Firefox version remains distinct.
Pros
  • Effective at blocking adblock detection mechanisms.
  • Works well alongside uBlock Origin.
  • Maintained separately from the Chromium version, avoiding malicious code issues.
  • Appreciated by users for its intended functionality and safety on Firefox.
  • Despite concerns, still functional for some users.
Cons
  • No longer updated, leading to outdated filter lists and features.
  • Extra steps and filter subscriptions for uBlock Origin often fail or are broken.
  • Adblock Warning Removal List is difficult or impossible to subscribe to.
  • Some users report that the extension no longer works properly on certain sites.
  • Confusion and concern over ownership and security due to the Chromium version being sold and altered.
Recent reviews
This addon does allow me to have my Adblocker Ultimate extension running while on wco.tv. I still have to wait for 10 seconds before pressing play, but at least the adblock nagscreen no longer shows up!
