Summary

This extension adds buttons for automatic team setup to the ESPN NHL Fantasy clubhouse page. The "Auto (day)" button will automatically put all players that are active on that day in the starting lineup. If there aren't enough available slots for all the active players, the uninjured players are preferred. The "Auto (week)" button will automatically set up players for the rest of the current game week, which is always Monday->Sunday on ESPN.

Automatic multi-day setup may fail in some cases. To increase the chance of success, don't touch anything else while the automatic setup is in progress. The extension needs to click its way through each day of the week, one by one.

If you encounter an error message when using the extension, reload the page and try again. If it fails consistently you can try to increase the delay between moves, which by default is one second. If nothing happens when you click the button, look for errors or warnings in the developer console (F12), and report the issue on the extension's GitHub page.

If you're trying to do automatic setup in an NBA league you'll need to install the NBA version of the extension, which is called ESPN NBA Fantasy Team Auto Setup.

The fact we need an external extension to set our lineups automatically (like every other platform in existence) is insane. That said, thank God I found this because it's a pain in the a$$ to do manually. Thanks!

They should hire the guy that made this for ESPN because this tool is miles better than anything they have added to their fantasy games. A wish list item for me would be the ability to set lineups according to criteria. For example, there will likely be game days where you have more players than active roster slots. To determine who should play, perhaps the tool could decide this based on points/game or total points. Having that would literally remove the need for any roster management to be honest. Amazing tool nonetheless!
