RutaVa

Don't know which minibus will take you where you're going?

RutaVa tells you exactly which public transportation route to take to reach your destination. You mark your starting point and destination, and in seconds you have all the options at your fingertips: which route to take, where to board, how far you'll walk, and where to get off.

No registration required. No account creation needed. No hassle.

WHERE IT WORKS

We're starting in Tuxtla Gutiérrez, Chiapas, with all 115 city routes mapped and verified. But RutaVa was born with a bigger vision: to bring this tool to cities across Mexico where minibuses, combis, or other urban buses are the way people get around every day.

Cities where information is spread by word of mouth, and those who don't know about them, can't get there.

If you want RutaVa in your city, write to us through the app: each request helps us decide which one to implement next.

HOW IT WORKS

Mark your starting point and destination in whatever way is most convenient for you:

• By tapping directly on the map
• By typing the address or the name of the place
• By using your current location
• By choosing a familiar place from the list

RutaVa instantly calculates and shows you:

• Which routes take you directly
• How far you have to walk to the stop
• The exact point where you need to get off
• And when there's no direct route, which van to take first, where to transfer, and which one to take next

Tap any option from the list and you'll see it drawn on the map instantly, with the complete route and the stops where you get on and off.

TAKE ME TO...

Are you going to the hospital, the university, a shopping center, or the bus terminal? Choose the place from the list and RutaVa will find the routes from where you are right now. No need to type addresses or know the street name.

STEP-BY-STEP GUIDE

• It shows you the walking route to the stop, following real streets
• It tells you which route to board
• It tells you where to get off

• It tracks your location live on the map

HELP US KEEP IT UP-TO-DATE

Public transport routes change, and often no one notices until it's already happened. That's why RutaVa includes two ways to keep the information up-to-date:

If you notice an error—a route that no longer goes where we say, a different schedule, a missing route—report it through the app via WhatsApp. It goes directly to us.

And if you want to help even more, you can share your trip as you travel. It's completely optional; we always ask you first, and it allows us to detect when a route changes so we can correct it for everyone. Your trip doesn't identify you, and you can delete it whenever you want.

WHO IS IT FOR?

For the student arriving in a new city and unfamiliar with the routes.

For someone going to a doctor's appointment in an unfamiliar area.

For someone who moved to a new neighborhood and no longer knows which bus to take.

And for anyone who has ever been stuck on a corner, unsure which bus to wait for.
