Works on text in subtitles on netflix, but does NOT mute audio and does not hide subtitles as it indicates. Looking in issues, another person had this and reported it back in 2022 and the developer never responded.

actually works. i hate hearing and seeing swears, so this is really nice. the only reason i give it 4 stars is because im still afraid that it will steal my data. probably not but i'm kinda worried (im a cautious person in general so take my worries with a grain of salt). works great, would recommend. EDIT: Please read my reply down below ⬇️. Has my updated thoughts after using this add on for a while. (also, this review used to be 4 stars but I changed it to 5)
