2026-05-13	mo*****	This extension is a great idea, but it needs more granularity. I want to block playables, but that's not an option. Ideally, this extension should allow us to block custom elements on YouTube by blocking a particular element ID that we can find by inspecting the page.

2026-05-08	sk*****	REVIEW WRITTEN FOR v2.1.0! Last updated; 6mo before review. Rating this 3 stars for the current version! for it doesn't do all the things I wish it could. The extension does work as intended. If you wish to remove youtube shorts from suggestions, it does that easily. I haven't compared it with other extensions that also block Shorts cleanly. I wish there were more options for what to remove. I personally want to remove YouTube Playables (and solely playables) but there is unfortunately not an option for YouTube playables as of now. Thankyou Johnan Dough for this quick to install extension. I hope a future version can amend my rating to 4 or more :)!

2026-01-28	Ku*****	As of writing this review, the extension defaults to just hiding shorts/playables, and you can very easily toggle hiding thumbnails, suggested videos, and the home page. There's also a toggle for making images black and white. This extension does exactly what it says it does and is extremely simple. No complaints from me at all, and it improves the desktop YouTube experience immensely.

2025-08-21	j*****	Does what it sets out to do! I find the default settings a bit aggressive, but I get where it's coming from. I just wanted to hide playables and shorts and it works perfectly for that once configured. I could imagine someone who wanted to hide only playables, or only shorts so I might recommend the addon developer add such an option.

There's nothing I'm particularly bothered by, particularly the easy of customisation, however there are some features defaults that I'd prefer, namely: 1. differentiation between shorts and playables (I'm not opposed to shorts in my feed though I absolutely don't want playables). 2. Don't hide thumbnails by default (I use the thumbnails as a large part of whether I will watch the video, it's really easy to change the setting [3 clicks] but I still think it's a somewhat odd default) Overall good extension that does as it describes and is easy to customise. I haven't looked into the security of the extension yet, which is always an issue for less rated extensions, but from the cursory glance I would recommend it's features.

2025-06-05	Vo*****	I decided to bite the bullet and try this extension despite hardly any reviews. So far, it works good. Doesn't ask for any permission off of YouTube, so I think this is trustworthy enough. The add-on does what is expected, so 5 stars from me. I will update this review if anything changes
