Summary
Here at Young Bull Industries we have a great love of languages - not just the programming kind, the human kind too! If like we do, you spend a lot of time reading web pages in languages other than English you'll often come across words that are new to you. Fine, you can always look them up - but pulling out a dictionary, going to Word Reference or Google Translate breaks up the flow of your reading and you can lose track of the article.

So it seemed like a great idea to make a Chrome extension which can be used to translate little snippets of text - just individual words or phrases - without leaving the page you're reading.

To get a translation, first highlight the word or words you want to translate, then right click and select the option "Translate 'text to translate'" from the menu, or hit "Alt+T" and the original text and the translation will appear in an alert window.

You can also set the target language (the one to translate into) by clicking on the Young Bull icon in your extensions bar, selecting from the options box and clicking "Save". This option is not only useful for non-native English speakers, but also for English speakers who need to translate a couple of words into another language. For example if you are writing an email in Spanish and you can't remember the correct Spanish for a particular word, just type it in English in your message, select the word, and hit "Alt+T" (making sure you've set Spanish as the target language) and the translation will pop up.
Safety
Risk impact

Popup Translate requires a number of risky permissions that can potentially harm your browser and steal your data. Exercise caution when installing this extension. Review carefully before installing. We recommend that you only install Popup Translate if you trust the publisher.

Risk impact measures the level of extra permissions an extension has access to. A low risk impact extension cannot do much harms, whereas a high risk impact extension can do a lot of damage like stealing your password, bypass your security settings, and access your personal data. High risk impact extensions are not necessarily malicious. However, if they do turn malicious, they can be very harmful.

Risk likelihood

Popup Translate may not be trust-worthy. Avoid installing if possible unless you really trust this publisher.

Risk likelihood measures the probability that a Chrome extension may turn malicious. This is determined by the publisher and the Chrome extension reputation on Chrome Web Store, the amount of time the Chrome extension has been around, and other signals about the Chrome extension. Our algorithms are not perfect, and are subject to change as we discover new ways to detect malicious extensions. We recommend that you always exercise caution when installing a Chrome extension, especially ones with higher risk impact and/or higher risk likelihood.

Turn off the lights, doesn't work at all.

Simple and effective translation tool. Useful that option is added to right-click menu. However it no longer works on any site I visit. If this is because of your limited daily spend on Google Translate as you mentioned before maybe add a message to inform users that this is the case or else they think it doesn't work ( as I did)?
