Stranded Protocol

This metroidvania-inspired platformer places the player in the role of an explorer robot sent to distant planets to collect samples of flora and fauna. These samples are meant to help restore the failing ecosystem of the robot’s home world. The mission takes an unexpected turn when the spaceship crashes on the target planet, leaving the robot stranded with a broken ship.

Now forced to survive, the robot must explore the planet not only to complete the original task, but also to gather the resources and components needed to repair the ship and escape. Along the way, the player unlocks various high-tech power-ups that allow them to bypass difficult platforming challenges, making traversal faster and easier.

However, relying on advanced technology instead of careful movement comes at a cost. The excessive use of these power-ups has a destructive impact on the planet’s environment, slowly damaging the very ecosystem the robot is exploring. The game focuses on the contrast between convenience and responsibility, showing how seemingly helpful choices can lead to irreversible consequences.
