MedSpell

This is an English medical dictionary including ICD9 terms, procedures, and drug names suitable for users in Canada, Australia and the UK.

Features & Capabilities

MedSpell is a comprehensive English medical dictionary Chrome extension designed for healthcare professionals frustrated with default American English spell checkers. It combines a standard dictionary, pharmacopoeia, and a detailed medical word list including ICD9 terms, procedures, and drug names approved in Canada, as well as terms common in Australia and the UK.

MedSpell uses British English spellings for conditions and procedures (e.g., colourblindness) and includes drugs approved by Health Canada like Gravol and Dabigatran, alongside Australian and UK-specific drugs such as Paracetamol and Pethidine. The dictionary is Med-Spell checked and in version 1.0.4 is labeled as English, providing precise and localized medical spelling support for users in these regions.
