Lunar Car: Sticker Ads

Lunar puts local businesses on everyday cars, and pays the people who drive them.

For drivers

Put a sticker on your car and earn up to $500 a month for the driving you already do. No passengers, no deliveries, no schedule.

• Earn up to $500 a month, paid to your bank through Stripe
• Keep your own routes. All Lunar asks is at least 25 miles (40 km in Canada) a week
• Free to join. Lunar never asks you for money
• You have 48 hours to accept or decline an offer, and you never have to say why

Tell us about your car, where you drive, and the local businesses you would like to carry. A match is never guaranteed. When you accept an offer, your sticker arrives by mail. You put it on a door yourself, using the instructions in the box, and send a photo.

The weekly check

Every Tuesday at 10 am Pacific the check opens, and it is due Thursday at 10 am Pacific: a photo of every sticker on your car, one odometer reading, and at least 25 miles (40 km in Canada) driven since your last reading. If you miss three weeks in a calendar month, that month's unpaid pay is lost and your stickers come off.

Leaving

Until you accept your first offer you can delete your account whenever you like. After that, leaving takes a 7-day hold: your stickers stay on and you are paid as usual, then there is one last check. When your removal photo is approved and your final pay is settled, your account closes.

For businesses

Advertise on real cars in the neighborhoods you serve. Set your target areas on a map and your sticker rides cars that already drive there. You approve the sticker design before anything goes on the road.

• Half Moon: $500 a month, 2 cars, an estimated 4,200,000 impressions a month
• Full Moon: $1,500 a month, 7 cars, an estimated 14,700,000 impressions a month

Plans run for a term of 3 or 6 months, billed monthly, and a term renews unless you turn renewal off. Your card is saved at $0 when you sign up. Apart from the $50 deposit (counted toward your plan, or refunded if no driver in 7 days), you are charged only for days a car is carrying your sticker, billed in 30-day periods. The dashboard shows active cars, approved mileage and estimated impressions. Impressions are estimates, never counted views.

What we collect

Drivers give us their name, date of birth (you must be 18 or older), home address, and their car's details and VIN. Payouts go through Stripe to the bank account you connect. Photos, and a short video walk-around of your car, are used for the install, condition and weekly checks. Lunar does not track where you drive.
