Hero Guard brings hero movement, match-3 puzzles, unit placement, and automatic combat together on a single battlefield.

Drag your hero to swap tiles along your path, then match three or more of the same seal to summon defenders. Summoned units stay on the battlefield, forming your defense. Plan around their positions and attack ranges—and your hero’s final stance—to prepare for the next invasion.

Move your hero across multiple tiles instead of making a single swap. Make the most of your limited stamina to chart the perfect route and set off cascading matches.

■ Build a Lasting Defense
Summon Swordsmen, Archers, Mages, Guardian Knights, and Priests. Merge units of the same class and rank to make them stronger. Each unit has a distinct role and attack range, so where you place them can turn the tide of battle.

■ Choose How Your Units Evolve
Evolve higher-rank units individually into one of two specialized roles. Choose the abilities your frontline needs, from raw damage and piercing attacks to slows, blocking, and support. Build a formation that fits your strategy.

Every hero brings unique skills, ultimate abilities, and ways to move across the board, opening up new tactical possibilities.

■ Defend Three Walls Against Distinct Enemy Armies
Face the orcs of the north, the undead of the east, and the demons of the west. Chargers, shamans, necromancers, and powerful bosses each threaten your defenses in different ways.

■ Adapt Your Fortifications on Every Expedition
Repair and expand your walls, or invest in fences, cannons, forecourts, moats, and gates. Engineering materials are limited—where you spend them can determine whether your defenses hold.

■ Grow Stronger Between Battles
Break through enemy fronts to earn Merit Points and permanently upgrade your units, heroes, and walls. Increase your army’s proficiency to unlock new regiments and prepare a dedicated lineup for each front.
