TrueDock

TrueDock is a Material 3 mobile administration app for TrueNAS SCALE Community Edition (25.10 and newer). It replaces routine use of the TrueNAS web UI with a focused, native app for your phone or tablet, while preserving the real state, permissions, and validation of your server.

TrueDock connects directly to a TrueNAS SCALE server that you own and operate. There is no TrueDock account, no cloud backend, and no data relay: your credentials and server data go straight from your device to your own server.

WHAT YOU CAN DO

Overview
- Live system health, uptime, and version at a glance
- Real-time CPU, memory, disk I/O, and network charts
- Active alerts and running jobs with live progress

Storage
- Browse pools, vdev topology, and disk health
- Create pools with stripe, mirror, or RAID-Z topologies
- Manage datasets, ACLs (POSIX and NFSv4), quotas, and zvols
- Create, clone, roll back, hold, and release snapshots
- Configure SMB, NFS, and iSCSI shares, including CHAP credentials

Data Protection
- Periodic snapshot tasks with retention and naming schemas
- Replication, Cloud Sync, Rsync, and Cloud Backup tasks
- Manual scrub, sync, and replication runs with live job feedback

Apps
- Browse the TrueNAS catalog and install apps with the full configuration form
- Start, stop, upgrade, roll back, and reconfigure installed apps
- Inspect Docker status, virtual machines, and containers (where supported)

System
- Manage users, groups, and role-based privileges
- Configure network interfaces, static routes, and services
- Review the audit log, alert policies, and alert destinations
- Apply updates, reboot, and manage boot environments

Every high-risk or destructive action (pool changes, deletions, restarts, updates) requires an explicit confirmation naming the server and the exact consequence, so nothing happens by a single mis-tap.

DESIGNED FOR MOBILE, NOT A COPY OF THE WEB UI
TrueDock is built from the ground up with Material Design 3: adaptive navigation, dark mode, dynamic color, and layouts that stay legible and fast on a phone screen instead of cramming a desktop dashboard into it.

SECURITY BY DESIGN
- Connections use HTTPS/WSS only; a certificate that isn't already trusted requires your explicit approval and is pinned per server
- Sign-in is optional to save; when you do, credentials are protected by a TrueDock PIN (Argon2id + AES-256-GCM) or your device's biometric unlock
- No password, API key, or credential is ever logged, screenshotted, or sent anywhere but your own server

PRIVACY
TrueDock has no analytics, no advertising, and no tracking that can identify you. Official builds may send anonymous, heavily redacted crash and performance diagnostics to help fix bugs; this is fully optional and can be turned off at any time in App Settings.

- Network access to that server from your device
