Manga Reader Firefox

Manga Reader

Read manga pages one at a time. Control the zoom level of each image and the reading direction. Additionally, have the option to jump to the bottom of the page for easily moving to the next chapter.

Features & Capabilities

This Manga Reader extension is a small project of mine to create a manga reader extension on FireFox that isn't tied to a single website. This extension works by grabbing all images (with some filtering) and letting you cycle through them using arrow keys or the mouse and scroll wheel.

Features include:

  • Support on multiple websites
  • Choose your reading direction (left to right or right to left)
  • Choose your zoom level
  • Keyboard and mouse support
  • Jump to bottom of page on exit to easily select the next chapter
  • Auto Launch keyboard shortcut (rebindable)
  • Adjust minimum pixel size of images to ignore logos

Controls:

  • Esc to close reader
  • Left/Right Arrow Keys to cycle through pages
  • Click left/right third of screen to cycle through pages
  • Up/Down Arrow Keys to scroll when zoomed in

Is Manga Reader Safe?

Risk impact
Risk impact measures the level of extra permissions an extension has access to. A low risk impact extension cannot do much harms, whereas a high risk impact extension can do a lot of damage like stealing your password, bypassing your security settings, and accessing your personal data. High risk impact extensions are not necessarily malicious. However, if they do turn malicious, they can be very harmful.

Manga Reader requires some sensitive permissions that could impact your browser and data security. Exercise caution before installing.

This is determined by the publisher and the Firefox add-on reputation on Firefox Add-ons Store, the amount of time the Firefox add-on has been around, and other signals about the Firefox add-on. Our algorithms are not perfect, and are subject to change as we discover new ways to detect malicious extensions. We recommend that you always exercise caution when installing a Firefox add-on.
