Zero KM is an advanced field staff management system designed to benefit the company and its employees equally. Apart from merely tracking the field staff or assigning work to them, it also records attendance, has a route report section, finance module, etc, thus making it a standalone system. The reports Zero KM generates are comprehensive and would involve details on the basis of information such as staff’s location, time, expenses, their appointments, etc. If a company installs Zero KM, other finance software's or attendance tracking software's would not be needed. Zero KM can also be used offline as some of the field staff might not have internet connectivity with them always.

The idea for this system came about two years ago when such a brilliant management software did not exist in the market in none of the sectors. During the research period of these two years, the developers met a number of companies comprising field staff and discussed the challenges the team leaders or the management faced while keeping track of people who worked outside the offices. From this arose the specific needs of the companies on how to manage their field staff. Not stopping there, the developers also met with the field staff such as postal-delivery persons, courier-delivery individuals, people who go house to house taking surveys etc. and talked about the challenges they face, which were also then taken into account.

Some field staff might face stress as part of their job, due to which human resource personnel and psychologists were also part of the discussion process to form a system that will be beneficial for all. Taking key points from these discussions, the developers created an algorithm named Zero KM. It is with this concept that the modules were developed and such a comprehensive system would be hard, nay impossible to find in the Indian market currently. Any business that manages field staff, even those involving media personnel, can use this system, and any number of employees can be added to the system as no limit has been set.
