MailAssist für Firefox ist die Erweiterung für Gmail im Web: Sie ergänzt die geöffnete Konversation um ein schwebendes MailAssist-Panel. Dort können Sie die aktuelle E-Mail analysieren und sich Antwortvorschläge generieren lassen – über die MailAssist-API, mit Ihrem Kundenkonto (Anmeldung oder Registrierung im Erweiterungs-Popup).

So arbeiten Sie mit MailAssist

Gmail in Firefox öffnen, eine E-Mail auswählen. Das Panel erscheint in der Gmail-Oberfläche und nutzt den sichtbaren Nachrichtenkontext. Im Popup der Erweiterung: Konto verwalten, optional API-Basis-URL (z. B. für lokale Entwicklung) und Einstellungen. Die Oberfläche ist auf Deutsch, Englisch und Französisch ausrichtbar (über die Erweiterungskonfiguration). Voraussetzungen

Firefox mit Unterstützung für Manifest V3 (laut Projekt mindestens Version 142). Gmail unter https://mail.google.com/. Aktives MailAssist-Konto und erreichbare MailAssist-Backend-API (Standard in der Erweiterung: konfigurierbare Basis-URL inkl. lokaler Entwicklung). Hinweis zum Umfang

MailAssist ist auf Gmail Web ausgelegt; das Gmail-Layout kann sich ändern – bei Problemen mit dem Panel bitte eine aktuelle Version der Erweiterung verwenden.

Datenschutz in Kürze

Die Erweiterung benötigt Zugriff auf Gmail-Webseiteninhalte, um die geöffnete Nachricht zu erfassen, und kommuniziert mit der MailAssist-API. Inhalte werden zur Analyse und zur Texterstellung an den von Ihnen bzw. dem Betreiber bereitgestellten Dienst übermittelt. Details zu Speicherung und Verarbeitung sollten in der Datenschutzerklärung des MailAssist-Dienstes stehen; für Mozilla’s Formular sind die im Manifest genannten Datenerhebungs-Kategorien (u. a. persönliche Kommunikation, Website-Inhalte) entsprechend zu begründen.
