lurrkr Firefox

lurrkr

By: lurrkr Add-on
Read Reddit logged out. Removes login walls and "get the app" nags, blocks trackers, unblurs previews, auto-expands posts and comments, and strips tracking from links. Not affiliated with Reddit, Inc.

Features & Capabilities

lurkr keeps reddit.com readable when you're not logged in.

Removes: the "Join the most real place on the internet" modal, the left-edge login rail, signup drawers, Google One Tap, the top-nav Get App button, and mobile "get the app" bottom sheets.

Blocks at the network level (only on reddit.com pages): the LiveRamp identity pixel, Google Tag Manager, Sentry telemetry, Reddit's reporting and perf-metrics beacons, and app deep-link infrastructure.

Reading conveniences: hides the right rail, unblurs previews Reddit already delivered, auto-expands "Read more" clamps and pre-collapsed comments (never auto-fetches), strips utm_/share_id tracking from the address bar and links, defaults comment sort to Top on direct links, j/k to hop between posts, o to jump to old.reddit.com.

The toolbar button pauses lurrkr per-tab. Login pages are always left untouched, so signing in still works when you want to.

lurkr collects nothing: no analytics, no remote code, no data leaves your browser.

Is lurrkr Safe?

Risk impact
Risk impact measures the level of extra permissions an extension has access to. A low risk impact extension cannot do much harms, whereas a high risk impact extension can do a lot of damage like stealing your password, bypassing your security settings, and accessing your personal data. High risk impact extensions are not necessarily malicious. However, if they do turn malicious, they can be very harmful.

lurrkr requires a few sensitive permissions. Exercise caution before installing.
