Search-UIX

I used this for about a day now spending about 16 hours in front of the computer and using this extension effectively roughly 4 hours doing various searches. It is welcome that all the ads that come with google and other search engines are now gone. But It doesn't really seem to improve the search results much for me. Maybe because I am so used to google and know how to filter out what I don't want, or maybe it is because I need more time to get used to Search-UIX to really feel the benefits, but It really doesn't help me find what I need much faster so far. One annoying thing however, is the lag or pause it does as I enter a query into the search bar. With google, bing ot duck etcetera, the results page are almost instant, while with Search-UIX there is a 1-2s lag before I see the results. Perhaps it is my network or my computer (win 10 pro 24GB Ram running Chrome) or compatibility with my other extensions, but either way, I can't rate this higher than 3/5 right now. I will edit this review when I had more time evaluating it, but for now, I am disabling this for the day (not uninstalling yet).

This search engine is hands down the best I have ever encountered. In 30 years in tech, I have never reviewed an extension or much of anything else but in less than 24hrs of use and years of searching for a decent search engine, here I am. Dump Google, Bing, DuckDuckGo, et al as ones main search engine. Not that others don't provide some value, the emphasis is on some. They are mostly repeative and sales ads. This is an question/answer solution. Wow - finally!
