'Handheld Simulator' is an innovative Chrome extension designed to simulate a barcode scanner. By just inputting values, users can replicate the experience of scanning a barcode on the browser, making it an ideal tool for diverse purposes. To use, simply enter the values in the popup text field or use shortcut keys, and the scan action will place your value in the focused input field akin to a real scan. Customizable keyboard shortcuts add to user convenience.

This extension simulates a barcode scanner, but instead of scanning you have just to type the value in the popup text field and the scan action will set the given value to the focused input in the page. So the behavior is similar to scanning a barcode with a real device.
You can open the scanning popup by clicking on the extension icon, or using the shortcut Ctrl+Shift+U (or ⌘+Shift+U on Mac). You can also change this shortcut by navigating to chrome://extensions/shortcuts in your browser, locate the Handheld Simulator extension, and set a new shortcut.
Extension is very useful, but I have a problem if I want to scan for example 001814591065
it deletes the 00 in front. While this is necessary in the scanning. A solution or option in the extension for this would be really helpfull.
