Summary
“The World is a book, and those who do not travel read only a page.” - Saint Augustine
And so I thought I could at least make such a page. This theme is mainly featuring photos about cultures rather than nature. As a great fan of traveling and the National Geographic magazine, I thought it would be great to make a theme like this.
I didn't make the photos in this theme myself (if that could only be true...) and I do not wish to get in problems with author rights. So I tried to seek the names of all authors. The list below describes every photo with the author.
Globe - NASA (who else?) Angor Wat, Cambodia - Steve McCurry http://www.stevemccurry.com/ Chinese Mountains - Michael Yamashita http://www.michaelyamashita.com/ Bushmen, Southern Africa - Chris Johns Elephant with Mount Kilimanjaro, Kenya - Steven Pollack Statue of Liberty, USA - Derek Jensen http://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/User:Tysto New York City Serenade, USA - Joisey Showa http://www.joiseyshowaa.com/ Geisha - Jodi Cobb http://www.jodicobb.com/ Machu Picchu, Peru - Martin St-Amant http://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/User:S23678
