eSamithi is the member app for community welfare societies (මරණාධාර හා සුභසාධක
සමිති) that keep their records on the eSamithi platform.


PURUKA (පුරුක) — YOUR SOCIETY'S OWN MARKETPLACE
අපේ දේ, අපි අතර — our things, among us.

Puruka is a small, closed marketplace shared only by the members of your own
society. Not strangers from across the country — the same people you sit beside
at meetings. That is what makes it different, and what makes it safe.

• Selling something? Post it in a minute with up to 3 photos, a price (or mark
it negotiable), and your village or area.
• Looking for something? Post a "Wanted" listing and let the society come to
you — a baby cot, a bicycle, a few days of labour.
• Browse by category: household goods, tools, furniture, farming equipment,
food and produce, services, and items for rent.
• Search, or filter by price and area, to find what is near you.
• Interested? Call or WhatsApp the member directly and settle it face to face,
the way village trade has always worked.

Puruka is completely free. There are no fees, no commission and no online
payments — eSamithi never handles your money. It simply helps neighbours find
each other, so a good cooking pot or a spare bicycle stays in the community
instead of being sold to a stranger or thrown away.

If something is not right, one tap reports a listing to your society office.

GETTING STARTED
Ask your society for its join code. Verify yourself with your NIC and date of
birth, choose a PIN, and your membership is in your pocket. Only enrolled
members of a society that uses eSamithi can sign in.


FOR SOCIETIES
Your society's office runs the eSamithi desktop application to manage members,
finances and communication. The mobile app is free for every enrolled member.
