Find players, meetups, tournaments and clubs in your city — and join games at real boards with real people. No online play. Just chess, in person, where you live.

WHAT YOU CAN DO

▸ Find chess in your area
Open the map and see every meetup, tournament and club within 50 km. Filter by skill level, time control, or what's happening this week.

▸ Post your own meetup
Going to a café and want company? Post a quick meetup, pick a place, and other players nearby can RSVP. It's that simple.

▸ Link your ratings
Connect your Lichess, Chess.com and FIDE profiles so other players can see how you play before sitting down at the board. Optional and private if you want.

▸ Connect with players
Add friends, see who's RSVP'd to the same events as you, message anyone in your city.

▸ Find clubs
Local chess clubs are listed and verified — opening hours, contact info, and a link to RSVP for their regular sessions.

▸ Notifications that matter
Get notified when a meetup near you goes live, when a friend RSVPs, or when someone messages you. All other notifications are off by default.

DESIGNED FOR REAL CHESS

We built Chessmates because online chess is huge but the over-the-board scene is fragmented across club websites, WhatsApp groups, and word of mouth. There was no easy way to find a real game in your city. Now there is.
