User Reviews

Reviews praise Library Extension as highly useful, fast, and powerful for finding and borrowing library items across Libby, CloudLibrary, Hoopla, and more. Key benefits include time and money savings, easy discovery, and strong multi-library support. A recurrent note is the desire for broader CloudLibrary integration to ensure uniform coverage across libraries.
Pros
  • Extremely useful; saves time and money by showing library holdings and enabling immediate access to e-books or audiobooks.
  • Simple and effective; easier to discover items than through many library apps or search tools.
  • Broad cross-library/platform coverage; supports Libby, CloudLibrary, Hoopla, and more across multiple sites.
  • Excellent for multi-library households; lets you choose which collections to search (physical and electronic) and see availability across libraries.
  • Well-supported and actively maintained; developers quickly add new libraries and fix issues.
Cons
  • CloudLibrary integration is inconsistent across libraries; users frequently request broader, more seamless CloudLibrary support.

Great idea and execution - developer was super responsive and added my regional library in Canada when contacted, within days! Amazing.

The best way to choose between buying or borrowing a book from the library. This extension is great but has unfortunately exposed the dearth of books available in my local library system. I like that it separates out ebook from paper book availability.
