Cyber Hawk

Cyber-HAWK is a mobile application designed to strengthen India’s fight against Illegal Wildlife Trade (IWT) by enabling real-time reporting of wildlife crime and facilitating coordinated action among enforcement agencies.

The application allows citizens, volunteers, and enforcement officials to report and track wildlife crime incidents from anywhere in the country. Users can report activities such as illegal pet trade, hunting or poaching, sale of bush meat, and trafficking of wildlife articles through a simple and secure interface.

Cyber-HAWK also provides a specialized platform for enforcement officials to seek expert assistance in the identification of seized wildlife articles or animals. Officials can raise queries and consult experts to support investigations and strengthen legal action against wildlife offenders.

A key strength of Cyber-HAWK is its Cyber-Spotter Network, established and managed by Wildlife Trust of India (WTI). This growing network consists of 50+ trained volunteers across India who actively monitor, report, and document wildlife crime. Cyber-spotters are regularly engaged through weekly interactions, task assignments, and surveys, contributing critical intelligence to combat illegal wildlife trade across multiple states.

By collating, interpreting, and sharing wildlife crime information across enforcement agencies, Cyber-HAWK aims to enable coordinated, timely, and effective action against wildlife crime, while empowering citizens to act as responsible whistle-blowers for wildlife protection.
