12 background colors in calming pastel and rich dark tones (or bring your own custom color!)
dynamic light / dark mode for adaptive viewing
alternative UI layouts
location-based weather fetching
metric units & 24-hour time formatting

this app requires the following permissions:

chrome & local storage: used to store user settings.
geolocation: used to fetch weather from the OpenWeather API (https://openweathermap.org/) if location is enabled.
