Works relatively well for simple LaTeX on GitHub. However, it is not nearly as extensive as the similar extension that currently exists for Chromium-based browsers through the Google Extension Store. I would recommend the developer, if this extension is being actively maintained, to use some more MathJax to get the rendering for things like matrices and integrals.

A low risk impact extension cannot do much harms, whereas a high risk impact extension can do a lot of damage like stealing your password, bypassing your security settings, and accessing your personal data. High risk impact extensions are not necessarily malicious. However, if they do turn malicious, they can be very harmful.
LatexMathifyGitHub requires a few sensitive permissions. Exercise caution before installing.
