User Reviews
Pros
- Historically reliable and worked well for years.
- Provided a useful password management extension.
- Seen by some reviewers as a great add-on before privacy concerns.
Cons
- Intrusive data collection and expanded permissions (browsing history, location, financial data).
- Security breaches and lack of transparent communication eroding trust.
- Autofill and login reliability problems (incorrect credentials, site breakages).
- MacOS Passkeys issues and broader compatibility problems.
- Perceived declining reliability after updates; many users consider switching to alternatives.
Recent reviews
It does the basics, but is often filling in the wrong fields, and the vault UI is extremely clunky.

It's great to have a password manager and works most of the time, although sometimes it doesn't want to fill passwords or passkeys some times. It is worth to mention that LastPass has been breached multiple times in the past, so it is way less reliable than other options like Bitwarden.

I can't log in because I'm supposed to get an email that never arrives and when I want to report it, I have to log in to be able to do it, damn idiotic.

Is LastPass Password Manager Safe?
Risk impact
Risk impact measures the level of extra permissions an extension has access to. A low risk impact extension cannot do much harms, whereas a high risk impact extension can do a lot of damage like stealing your password, bypassing your security settings, and accessing your personal data. High risk impact extensions are not necessarily malicious. However, if they do turn malicious, they can be very harmful.
LastPass Password Manager requires a lot of sensitive permissions. Exercise caution before installing.
