ShutterTagBin Android

ShutterTagBin

Tag your photos, file them into bins, and find any shot in seconds. Offline

Overview

Features & Capabilities

Your camera roll is a pile. ShutterTagBin turns it into a library.

Import the photos you care about, label them with tags, and file them into bins that say what happens next. Everything runs on your phone — no account, no sync, no connection required.

THE DECK
Your whole library as a masonry contact sheet, frames at their real proportions rather than squashed into squares. Search captions and tag names, or tap the tag chips along the top to narrow things down. Pick more than one tag and the deck shows only frames carrying all of them — "landscape" plus "golden hour" gets you exactly the shots you were thinking of.

TAGS AND BINS DO DIFFERENT JOBS
A tag describes what a frame is: portrait, street, night, macro. A frame can carry as many as you like.
A bin describes what happens next: to edit, print queue, archive. A frame sits in exactly one bin at a time, which is what makes bins useful for working through a backlog instead of just admiring it.
Eighteen tags and six bins are ready on day one, and you can add, recolour, rename or delete any of them.

TAG A WHOLE IMPORT IN FOUR TAPS
Narrow the deck however you like, then use the bulk action to tag or file every frame currently on screen. A weekend's shooting gets sorted before your coffee goes cold.

THE TIMELINE
Every frame grouped under the day it was captured, with a fortnight of shooting activity charted above. Remember roughly when, find it immediately.

FULL-FRAME VIEW
Open any frame and pinch to zoom, drag to pan, double-tap to snap back. Edit the caption, toggle tags, move it to another bin, star it, archive it, or delete it — all from one screen.

YOUR DOSSIER
Coverage tells you what share of the library is actually tagged, so the pile never creeps back. Alongside it: a breakdown of your most-used labels, counts for starred, filed, captioned and archived frames, and twelve badges tied to the real library rather than a made-up score.

MAKE IT FIT YOUR EYE
Switch between a roomy two-column deck and a dense three-column one. Set the default order — newest, oldest, caption A-Z or most tagged. Show or hide captions on tiles. Flag untagged frames so nothing quietly slips through. Open straight onto the timeline if that is how you think.

COMPLETELY OFFLINE
No account. No sign-up. No analytics, no advertising, no tracking of any kind. There is no networking code in the app at all — it works exactly the same in aeroplane mode, and everything you create stays in the app's own storage on your device. Uninstalling takes it all with it.

The app ships with a set of starter frames so there is something to sort from the moment you open it. Delete them whenever you like.

Shoot it. Tag it. Bin it.
