NyanGuard: Cat Merge Defense

An armed cat squad holds the last barricade.

Summon cats, merge them into stronger ones, arm them with roguelike skills, and stop the zombiecat waves before they chew through your wall. A casual merge tower defense you can play one round at a time.

■ How to play
- Spend coins to summon a cat into a lane.
- Drag a cat onto another of the SAME type and tier to merge it into a stronger one.
- Cats shoot down their own lane automatically, so where you place them is the whole strategy.
- Zombiecats that reach the wall chew on it. Wall HP hits zero, you lose.
- Do not want a cat? Throw it into the sell zone and get coins back.

■ 100 stages
- From the first alley to the dawn line, across four settings: day, dusk, blight and night.
- Each stage is 20 waves plus a boss. Stars are graded on how much wall HP you kept, up to 3.
- Clear a stage to unlock the next one.

■ Four difficulties, 1,200 stars
- Easy, Normal, Hard and Hell. Stars are tracked separately for each.
- Stage unlocks are shared across difficulties, so switching to Hell does not mean starting over.
- Higher difficulty means tougher enemies but more fish bones.

■ Endless Night
- Open from the start. Begins at stage 1 difficulty and steps up as the waves go.
- A boss cuts in every 10 waves. How long you last is the whole score.

■ Roguelike skills
- Every 3 waves you pick one active and one passive skill, six picks per run.
- 11 actives and 12 passives: thunder, tornado, meteor, shield, critical, thorns and more.
- Pick the same skill again to level it up. But the tougher you get, the tougher they get.
- Skills reset every run, so no two runs build the same way.

■ Raise your squad
- Four cat types: normal, splash, sniper and support. Fielding several types triggers a class bond that buffs everyone.
- Spend fish bones on 8 permanent upgrades plus per-type upgrades.
- 6 cat skins. 30 day check-in, daily and weekly quests, 22 achievements.

■ Chase the record
- Kills, survival time and stage reached become your score. Leave your name on the leaderboard.
- Sign in to Play Games and your progress follows you to a new device.
