The Mobile IDentification App allows users in Korea to securely store government-issued IDs such as Mobile Resident Registration Cards, Mobile Driver’s Licenses, Mobile National Veterans Registration Cards, and Mobile Overseas Koreans Identity Verification Cards directly on their smartphones. These mobile IDs hold the same legal validity as traditional physical IDs, providing convenient and secure identification anywhere.

To obtain these mobile IDs, users must meet eligibility criteria such as possessing a valid physical ID and having a compatible Android smartphone (OS 8.0+) with biometric authentication and NFC. The app supports in-person verification for initial issuance and offers multiple issuance methods including direct IC card scanning and QR code issuance at designated centers. The Mobile ID app streamlines identity verification, enabling easier access to services that traditionally require physical ID presentation, while maintaining government-sanctioned security standards.
