Review summary
TracingPad is praised for its simplicity, effectiveness as a physical lightbox for tracing on paper, and minimal permissions. It is helpful for artists, including those tracing anime. However, users often mention it lacks digital tracing tools, no image rotation or landscape mode, and has low-contrast controls that are hard to use. Many users expected it to allow tracing directly on images digitally, but it only displays images for tracing on physical paper.
Pros
- Simple and easy to use
- Effective as a lightbox app for tracing over paper
- Helps users with drawing, including anime
- Compact and no unnecessary permissions
- Perfectly meets the need for a physical tracing aid
Cons
- Lacks digital tracing features such as drawing over images
- No image rotation or landscape mode to enlarge images
- Controls/buttons are hard to read and fine tune due to low contrast
- Some users expect digital tracing functionality which is not provided

I LOVE IT I CAN DRAW DREAAAM
They forgot pen and paper...lol. Awful.
It doesn't show u how to trace, there's no drawing over image options to trace , the image is just there with nothing to do with it
Its so fun i use it to help me draw anime
Effective, compact, simple
Why can't images be turned to Landscape mode? It would make the images bigger and offer more options.
