Miftah Firefox

Miftah

Fix text typed in the wrong keyboard language. Select any mistyped Arabic or English text, right-click, and instantly convert it to the correct characters.

Features & Capabilities

Have you ever typed a whole sentence and then realized your keyboard was set to the wrong language?

Keyboard Exchange fixes that in one click.

How it works:

  • Select the mistyped text on any webpage
  • Right-click to open the context menu, or use a keyboard shortcut
  • Choose "Convert to Arabic" or "Convert to English"
  • The text is replaced instantly with the correct characters

Keyboard shortcuts: • Alt+Shift+A — Convert selected text to Arabic • Alt+Shift+E — Convert selected text to English (Shortcuts can be customized from the browser's extension settings)

Two conversion directions: • Typed in English layout while Arabic was active → Convert to Arabic Example: "lhah jrw]" becomes "ماذا تقصد"

• Typed in Arabic layout while English was active → Convert to English Example: "صاشف شقث غخع فشنهىل شلاخعف" becomes "what are you taking about"

Works in: • Regular text inputs and textareas • Contenteditable fields (Gmail, Notion, etc.) • Any text on a webpage

This extension does not collect any data, requires no account, and works entirely offline.

Is Miftah Safe?

A low risk impact extension cannot do much harms, whereas a high risk impact extension can do a lot of damage like stealing your password, bypassing your security settings, and accessing your personal data. High risk impact extensions are not necessarily malicious. However, if they do turn malicious, they can be very harmful.

Miftah requires a few sensitive permissions. Exercise caution before installing.
