HTTP Headers

Quickly view HTTP headers for the current page.

HTTP Headers is a lightweight, open-source Chrome extension designed for developers and curious users to quickly view HTTP headers of the current webpage. It lists all request and response headers alphabetically, truncates long header values for readability, and provides descriptions for common headers to enhance understanding.

The extension features a badge on its icon showing response status codes or total requests with color-coded status indicators. Users can copy any header to the clipboard with a click, making header inspection efficient and straightforward. No third-party libraries or tracking ensure privacy and performance.

Easy to use. Super useful when trying to figure out problems with http headers, e.g. cache control.

Very well coded extension. It helped me out when I was stuck in a rut and the default Web tools in Chrome were just not displaying the correct GET/POST data. I fiddled out for a long time in the builtin Inspect->Network but it just would not show the correct data. This tool displayed the correct and got me sorted immediately

Extension safety

Risk impact
Risk impact measures the level of extra permissions an extension has access to. A low risk impact extension cannot do much harms, whereas a high risk impact extension can do a lot of damage like stealing your password, bypassing your security settings, and accessing your personal data. High risk impact extensions are not necessarily malicious. However, if they do turn malicious, they can be very harmful.

HTTP Headers requires a few sensitive permissions. Exercise caution before installing.
