■Synopsis■

Rumors of the Black Hole Sun Prophecy—an age of endless darkness—spread across the land as cities fall under mysterious eclipses. Your beloved father, a high shogun, and your brother have both been slain in battle by General Benki, an evil warlord said to wield forbidden dark arts.

Cast out by your greedy stepmother, you set forth on a journey of vengeance. Along the way, you encounter a wandering samurai, a spirited monk, and a reckless mercenary clad in the armor of his fallen foes. One of them recognizes your swordsmanship—and the influence of your father’s legendary school.

Shocked, you admit that your dojo no longer stands. Yet before parting ways, they invite you to join their quest—to defeat General Benki and save the world from being swallowed by darkness.

■Characters■

Toshimune – The Mercenary
A seasoned fighter who grew up poor and hungry, driven by a longing to see the world. At fifteen, he left home to join a band of mercenaries. Though reckless, he carries regrets from his bloody past. Michimasa, the warrior monk, is his childhood friend.

Michimasa – The Monk
A warrior monk and bodyguard to the Crown Prince. Abandoned at birth, he was raised by warrior-priests devoted to the Emperor and trained to protect the royal heir. Toshimune is his childhood companion.

Nobuyasu – The Ronin
A mysterious, refined swordsman searching for his late mentor’s daughter. After a fateful encounter, you meet again at a mountain shrine. He seeks your blade to vanquish General Benki—and the prophecy of the Black Hole Sun.
