GomiRhythm doesn't use servers. It doesn't depend on local government databases. Your smartphone directly remembers the trash rules you set and sounds a notification at the set time.

If you've ever experienced problems with existing trash apps, such as "My local government isn't registered" or "Notifications suddenly stopped coming," this is the app you should install first.

Two notifications—the night before and the morning of—ensure you never forget to take out your trash. You set the notification times. Monthly and weekly calendars allow you to see your schedule at a glance.

■ Why are notifications delivered reliably?

Many garbage disposal apps send notifications to smartphones via servers. Therefore, notifications may not be delivered due to multiple obstacles such as server failures, data update failures by local governments, and power saving settings on your device.

Gomi Rhythm's notifications are entirely handled within your device. Because your smartphone directly sets the alarm, notifications will be delivered even if the local government's server is down or you have no internet connection.

Note that if you don't open the app for a long period (approximately 1 month or more), the notification reservation data created within the app may run out. Opening the app about once a month will ensure you receive notifications reliably.

■ Usable Nationwide

Many garbage collection notification apps store collection schedules in a "municipal database," making them unusable only for residents of registered municipalities. GomiRhythm does not use this method.

GomiRhythm's concept is simple: "You set your own garbage collection rules." That's all.

After researching collection patterns across Japan, we found that Japanese municipal collection schedules consist of combinations of: ① weekly (1-3 times a week), ② first and third weeks only, and ③ second and fourth weeks only. GomiRhythm is designed to cover all of these patterns.

Instead of a list of supported municipalities, anyone living in any city or town in Japan can use it simply by entering their collection rules. You don't need to check if your municipality is registered every time you move.

■ Examples of Supported Rules

* Every Monday: Burnable waste
* Every Monday and Thursday: Burnable waste (Multiple days can be set to the same category)
* 2nd and 4th Wednesday: Plastics
* 1st and 3rd Tuesday: Recyclable waste

The app supports major collection patterns by combining "weekly" and "the Nth week of the month (multiple selections possible)."

■ Rules Not Currently Supported (To be frank)

The app does not currently support complex patterns such as "no collection during weeks with holidays," "collection only during the last week of the month," or "the category changes between odd and even months." Also, strict bi-weekly patterns (e.g., every other Wednesday) are approximated using "1st and 3rd weeks" or "2nd and 4th weeks."

Q. I'm not receiving notifications anymore.
A. Please try opening the app. Simply opening it will automatically set notifications for the next month.

Q. I want to change the notification time.
A. You can change the morning and evening notification times in Settings → Notification Settings.

Q. I want to change the name of "Burnable Trash" to "Combustible Trash."
A. You can freely edit the name, emoji, and color of the trash category in Settings → Category/Collection Timing.

Q. I want to re-enter my trash disposal rules at my new address.
A. Delete the existing schedule in Settings → Category/Collection Timing and add a new schedule. If you want to reset everything, please delete and reinstall the app.

Q. I was asked for notification permission and pressed "Don't Allow."
A. You can manually allow it from your device's Settings → Apps → Trash Rhythm → Notifications.
