The EXアプリ by JR東海 is the official reservation app for Tokaido, Sanyo, and Kyushu Shinkansen trains. It offers seamless and convenient Shinkansen ticket booking, allowing users to make reservations up to one year in advance for select trains. Users can select preferred seats from a seat map, earn loyalty points with ticketless rides, and modify reservations for free before boarding.

Beyond train reservations, the app supports booking hotels, rental cars, and sightseeing plans, enabling comprehensive travel preparation. Features include quick login via fingerprint or face authentication, inquiry and management of bookings and memberships, and access to operational information at stations and onboard. Membership registration linked to supported credit cards is required. The app supports English display based on device settings for ease of use.
