"Sanyo-Onoda" is a community-focused city life and disaster preparedness app designed to make life in Sanyo-Onoda City, Yamaguchi Prefecture, safer and more convenient.
From checking daily garbage collection days to evacuation shelter and AED maps useful in the event of a disaster, real-time notifications of disaster prevention information using data from the Japan Meteorological Agency and L-Alert, and even summer heatstroke prevention tips, we deliver everything you "want to know" right to your fingertips.

[Main Functions and Features]
1. Garbage Collection Calendar (Regional Linked)
Simply set your residential area (e.g., Districts 1-5) to see today's, tomorrow's, and the day after's garbage collection schedule at a glance. Prevents forgetting to put out burnable garbage, empty bottles, and plastic bottles.

2. Life-Saving "AED Map"
The locations of AEDs (Automated External Defibrillators) installed in the city are displayed as pins on the map. Quickly find the nearest AED from your current location and support first aid in emergencies.

3. Reliable "Emergency Shelter Map"
This map comprehensively covers the locations of evacuation shelters opened during disasters such as earthquakes and heavy rain. It also includes a route search function from your current location, supporting safe evacuation even in unfamiliar areas or at night.

4. Recent Rainfall and Weather Alerts
Displays real-time rainfall forecasts for your set area. In addition to manual area setting, it supports automatic acquisition of weather information for your current location via GPS.

5. "Weather Warnings and Advisories" Notifications
Utilizing publicly available data from the Japan Meteorological Agency, push notifications are sent when weather warnings (heavy rain, floods, strong winds, etc.) or advisories are issued for Sanyo-Onoda City. A prominent color banner is also displayed on the app's home screen, making it easier to notice sudden changes in weather. A notification is also sent when the warning is lifted, ensuring peace of mind.

6. Instant Display of "Evacuation Information" Using L-Alert
Extremely important evacuation information, such as "Evacuation for the Elderly," "Evacuation Orders," and "Emergency Safety Measures" issued by the city, is acquired in real time via L-Alert (Disaster Information Sharing System). When an alert is issued, a special banner strongly warns you at the top of the home screen, and you can instantly check detailed information with just a tap. This prevents "delayed evacuation" in emergencies and directly leads to swift evacuation action.

7. Heatstroke Warning Alert Notification and Display
This app supports the "Heatstroke Warning Alert" and "Special Heatstroke Warning Alert" issued by the Ministry of the Environment. On days when dangerously hot weather is expected, a dedicated banner will notify you on the app's home screen. Tapping the banner will allow you to smoothly access the Ministry of the Environment's heatstroke prevention information website, which can be used as a guide for safety measures when going out and for hydration.

8. Bear Sighting Information Map
Utilizing open data published by Yamaguchi Prefecture, bear sighting information within the prefecture and surrounding areas is displayed on a map. New sightings within the last two weeks are warned with a conspicuously colored badge, which is useful for checking in advance to ensure your safety when going out in mountainous areas or working on farms.

To make the most of this app's functions, we request the following permission upon first launch.

Location Information (GPS): Used for smooth searching of AEDs and evacuation shelters near your current location, and for displaying accurate weather forecasts based on your current location.

Push Notifications: Used to reliably deliver real-time notifications of weather warnings and heatstroke alerts, emergency information during disasters, and important notices regarding garbage collection to your device.

The location information obtained will only be used for providing functions within the app. We will not use it for any other purpose or collect personal information illegally, so please use it with confidence.
