JP-Startpage

JP-Startpage replaces the new tab with a quiet, keyboard-first page: a clock, an image box you can drop pictures onto, a rotating quote, live weather, and panels of links that open by hotkey.

KEYBOARD

Press a panel's letter to open it, then a link's letter to follow it. Press / to search, and a single letter after the slash picks an engine for that one search. Escape clears.

CONFIGURE

Everything sits behind the CONFIG tray in the bottom right: colors, light and dark, clock format, type scale, box height, greeting, weather, quote source, panels and their links, images, search engines and the tab title. Click a link row to edit its label, hotkey and URL in place.

SYNC

Profile sync keeps your setup level across every machine signed into the same Firefox Account, with Add ons ticked in Sync preferences. A GitHub Gist option moves a setup between different browsers. You can also export and import a plain .json file.

PRIVACY

No accounts, no analytics, no third-party requests on load. The fonts ship with the extension. Weather comes from Open-Meteo only while the weather panel is on, and location is IP-level or browser-level at your choice. Favicons are off by default because turning them on asks Google for an icon per domain.
