Extension summary

Tab Roulette is an extension for people who always have too many open tabs. Tab Roulette turns having too many open browser tabs into a game that plays with the tension of digital preservation in the short term and letting go of your control within the comforts of your digital space. Tab Roulette forces the user to gamble with their tab organization and create a self inflicted uneasiness in the digital space.

Tab Roulette shuffles your browser tabs between windows with complete randomness. To make the experience even more interesting Tab Roulette could randomly close a currently open tab during the shuffle — the probability of this happening is completely random as well.

Tab Roulette explores how people are becoming too comfortable and reliant on technical consistency. This extension forces users into a digital situation where what they knew and expected is no longer guaranteed.

Nice one

It seems some concession needs to be made with any/all of the extensions of this kind, i.e., those that open a random tab from the tabs you currently have open. This one would be 5 stars and my top pick of the 3 that I tried except for one big drawback, for whatever reason it seems to need to parse every open tab before executing and therefore, if you wanted to use an extension like this because of the sheer amount of open tabs you have open being in the 100's per window, this one might not be for you. As far as execution goes though, it is my favorite. Though, I would prefer the option of whether it opened a new random tab in all open windows (current default) vs only the window in which the extension was clicked. Assuming it's still maintained, if the amount of time it takes to execute can be improved upon, it would be a 5 star extension and my top pick but a strong effort. thanks dev! (changed to 4 stars from 3 in hopes that a change could be made to improve speed of execution - at which point I'll update to 5/5)
