| 2024-11-14 |  | | en | Great and useful extension for Chrome. Nice to get quick information on the site you are viewing. It gives the reverse DNS of the IP, thus showing its hostname if it has one, and also shows open ports. When using one of its features, such as View IP Details, it then takes you to Shodan's site which enables you to view much more information on the site you're on, including having many other features. Best to have a Shodan account when using this extension, but its not required... This Chrome extension is extremely useful, as well as Shodan itself. Its a shame that its now saying "This extension may soon no longer be supported because it doesn't follow best practices for Chrome extensions." Hopefully this extension can be updated to "follow best practices for Chrome extensions", and continue to stick around since im sure many others beside myself find this extension useful and still want it around.. |
