Ancestry DNA Paths (beta)

Ancestry DNA Paths (beta)

Highlight DNA inheritance patterns on Ancestry.com family trees.

What is Ancestry DNA Paths (beta)?
'Ancestry DNA Paths (beta)' is a Google Chrome extension developed for Ancestry.com users. It brilliantly highlights the three non-autosomal DNA inheritance patterns: X-chromosome, Y-chromosome, and Mitochondrial DNA, on both Pedigree (horizontal) and Family View (vertical) trees. This enables a clear understanding of the inheritance pattern from either the ancestors or descendants, based on the selected tree view. Its user-friendly interface allows you to activate and deactivate the highlights easily.

Summary

This Google Chrome extension for Ancestry.com highlights any of the 3 non-autosomal DNA inheritance patterns: X-chromosome, Y-chromosome, and Mitochondrial. It works with both Pedigree (horizontal) and Family View (vertical) trees. In Pedigrees, the highlights indicate the inheritance pattern for ANCESTORS of the selected peron. In Family View trees, the highlights indiate the inheritance pattern for DESCENDANTS.

To use it, just click the icon to activate it while on an Ancestry.com tree, then click the button for the inheritance pattern you'd like to see. To remove the highlights, just click the same button again.

As this is a beta version of the extension, please let me know if you have any trouble or spot any bugs!

I am having same problem as others. I am on Ancestry.com, but I get message saying I am not on that website.

When I try to use it, I get a notification that it only works on Ancestry.com - when I'm literally on Ancestry.com. I remember it working when I first installed it but now it no longer does.
