What is Shadertoy Custom Texures?

Shadertoy Custom Textures is a Chrome extension aimed at enabling users to introduce their own 2D textures, music, and videos in Shadertoy. It facilitates the drag-and-drop feature for easy upload from the computer or web links (only HTTPS). However, due to server restrictions, there may be some limitations. The extension also takes care of ID compatibility and various setting preferences for smooth user experience. Current version has removed unnecessary tab permissions for better optimization.

for textures it only works for 2D types
loading images from the web maybe blocked due to cross-origin HTTP requests not being allowed on their servers 3.for text/web links, only ones starting with https will work due to mixed content restrictions
