User reviews

I've been one of the first users of Asora. I like that it looked a bit familiar as ublock which was my blocker back then. And then I chose this because of the possible accumulation of 'tokens' and the said 'wallet' feature which they say will arrive soon. I've been a user of this one for so long with over 30,000 ads block (the last time I checked), yet the wallet feature isn't still there. I've been logged out of the extension several times too without me knowing. A lot of possible tokens wasted. Lately also, it's been eating up a lot of data on my PC for more than 2 weeks now, like around 700mb or more per day. What's that about??? So for the future users, just use ublock. Asora is just a container of it that uses your usage to earn money. That's not good business practice.

Extension safety

Risk impact
Risk impact measures the level of extra permissions an extension has access to. A low risk impact extension cannot do much harms, whereas a high risk impact extension can do a lot of damage like stealing your password, bypassing your security settings, and accessing your personal data. High risk impact extensions are not necessarily malicious. However, if they do turn malicious, they can be very harmful.

Asora requires a lot of sensitive permissions. Exercise caution before installing.

Risk likelihood
Risk likelihood measures the probability that a Chrome extension may turn malicious. This is determined by the publisher and the Chrome extension reputation on Chrome Web Store, the amount of time the Chrome extension has been around, and other signals about the Chrome extension. Our algorithms are not perfect, and are subject to change as we discover new ways to detect malicious extensions. We recommend that you always exercise caution when installing a Chrome extension.

Asora may not be trust-worthy. Avoid installing if possible unless you really trust this publisher.
