Im about to go off on this extension. why the hell is this extension even a thing. it blocks like literally every single website i try to get on besides youtube. I can't even go to spin a wheel i made without it saying THIS EXTENSION IS BLOCKED BY YOUR ADMINISTRATOR! - remove this extension - don't ever cook again - the creator of this extension should be in a mental hospital. |

To all of the kids that are writing the bad reviews on this extension, take and learn the basics of why your school install "spyware". While the definition is true, is a good type of spyware (I can already see the kids getting mad reading this). To really explain, your districts IT admin adds because its LITERALLY THE LAW, if you don't believe me, read this - https://www.blumenthal.senate.gov/imo/media/doc/kids_online_safety_act_-_one_pager.pdf, this will explain the majority what you need to know, and besides, the kids who write reviews here probably tried to go on game sites while they are doing school work, so unless you are mad at the extension, make a complaint to the senate that you can't access ur games kiddos *Also reporting it won't do anything :), because they are a partner with google ;) |

While blocking flash games and other distracting/fun things to do on tablets is annoying this isn't why I'm writing a one star. There are countless educational and useful websites and online materials that are blocked. My friend's community college class and college applications were blocked supposedly because his major (game design) had the word "game" in it. The number of educational YouTube videos that are blocked is bonkers as well. If you're really desperate for an online game to pass class time, just go to Tyrone's unblocked games which has hundreds. Also, WHY DID THEY BLOCK THE DINOSAUR GAME???!!! |

While i understand why it exists, it isn't very effective as it causes students to go to sketchier methods of obtaining what they were originally trying to obtain in the first place. Also according to the block page every single blocked website is a security threat so because of that i guess chess.com is a security threat and is going to infect my laptop and school servers. |

see im not gonna do the whole "school have is bad" thing all im gonna say is that this extension genuinely is GARBAGE, it blocks too many things, sure some of the things it blocks are reasonable (like porn) but other things it blocks like reddit, i use reddit for school, the duality of this extension appals me by how good and bad it can be, if your at school issues with it are worthless to avoid, you can't do anything |

I love how it doesn't even work. It blocks websites, yes, but you could also straight up go into task manager and kill it, then open your website. WOW IM ON A BLOCKED WEBSITE! |

I'm not about to say that "Oh iT TaKes AwAy AlL of thE coOl WEbsiTEs", I'm here to say that is critically fails at it's specific goal. First off, it blocks sites that are not needed to be blocked. Multiple times I go to write a paper, and large forums are blocked, and even some important sites I've needed to access, I'll give an example. Working on an essay for a Physical Fitness class, we needed to write an advertisement for a selected sport of my choosing, and I chose Mountain Biking. Sites like Pinkbike, Bike Radar, and other large news sites that don't offer anything other than information and news, are blocked. Second of all, it causes kids to get distracted faster, and more dangerously. With your average student, they're going to get distracted. Everyone does. But what this causes is kids to go to more sketchy sources to find their fun. Flash games are major players and this, and understandably it blocks those, but it also doesn't block smaller 3rd party bootleggers and scammers that are unverified by google. Those are the actual risks. To sum it up, I can understand why it's here, but there are better alternatives to this. |

schools think downloading this helps, this blocks everything so kids get creative and try to use the most harmful site/apps/etc to get around. Also my school encourges us to check their Twitter while at school but people without phones can't do that. THIS THING BLOCKED ENTENSIONS TO HELP ME READ AND DO MY WORK ITS SO STUPID !!?? I need a TTS reader or else I'll get too distracted to read, plus I don't read that well (I'm in high school and sruggle with that for personal reasons) They also blocked the deadname remover and say stuff like "We SuPpOrT TrANs KiDs" (I'm trans) its anoying, makes work harder for me, and is getting kids malware sometimes. KIds can't have a lick of privacy. |
